The first two shows of the year are behind us and Project One has started with a bang!
First was Import Motion in Portland, OR. Due to there being an extremely limited number of spots, only Tex, Armin and Erich showed. However, that didn't stop Project One, taking home three trophies, including Best Team Quality. That one is a first for us and the whole team should be proud of that one. It shows how far we've come as a team. Those that couldn't show with us were there in spirit.
Next, was Bond of Bellevue. This was a unique show in that there were challenges in addition to the car show. Although none of us competed in any of the challenges, the event still seemed to have a good energy to it. Thanks to Teske Design and all the sponsors for putting this show on. Project One again did well, taking another three trophies, including 1st place in their respective classes to Armin and Patrick. Way to go guys!
The next show that is scheduled is Global Import & Domestic Car Show in Tacoma, WA. This show is being put on by the people that also put on Import Motion, so we expect a good event. Look for us there, you shouldn't be able to miss us. :D
2008 is upon us and that means show season is right around the corner. The calendar has been updated with the dates we know, and will be updated as things change or are set.
This year brings a pretty major change in Project One. We as a team have begun to pay a great deal of attention to our team display and team structure. We hope to be stepping up our game in a pretty significant way this year. Look for us at the shows!
Battle of the Imports was again good to Project One. We took a total of 8 awards, including Best Team Representation. That's the second time in three years for that award. Here is the complete rundown of all awards:
In addition, Ivan took a 2nd place award at Nopi with his A3. Way to go Ivan!
Look for some informative additions to the website coming soon (hopefully).
Hot Import Nights. We came in force, showing 11 cars. Jeremy took home an award from CarSponsorships.com, Bailey represented in the Glosser booth and we showed alongside cars from World One Performance and Brainchild Customs.
In general Project One news, we've begun looking towards next year. We hope to raise our game significantly for 2008. Look for us at the shows.. you won't be disappointed. This year, we still have the Auburn Top Foods Car Show (today) and Battle of the Imports on August 31st. Battle is always a fun show, so check us out there!
Hot Import Nights also brought about the return of an old friend. Patrick, previously of the white '04 STi and white '03 bugeye WRX returns with a (you guessed it) white Evo. It's already sporting the trademark blue stripe on the front and he's well on his way back to show form.
First, Driven to Perform. Armin took 3rd Place Subaru. Way to go Armin! Also, Edison took 1st Place Mitsubishi in his first show. Way to go Edison!
So, that brings us to new members. Edison showed with us at Driven to Perform. Shortly thereafter, he joined us as an official member of Project One. Welcome Edison! Also, Tanya and Marcel, some old friends of the team (read: not old in age, old in length of friendship), are back on the scene and have joined Project One as well. Welcome Tanya and Marcel!
Hot Import Nights is coming up quickly. We expect to have a strong presence there, with both new faces and old. Stop by and say hi!
One website note -- the contact form is now working. If you want to drop us a message, now there's a way!
Okay, things to mention. Hot Import Nights' date changed, again, now it's August 4th. Driven to Perform is fast approaching. Look for Project One in the World One Performance/Do-Luck booth.
Also, June 30th/July 1st, Project One will be judging the car show portion of the West Coast Subaru Show. Anyone with a Subaru is encouraged to attend! Click the link on the right for information.
One more small show coming up is in Auburn, on June 9th. Click the link to the right for more information, but some members of Project One should be there.
The 2007 show season started off right, with Project One taking 3 awards at Import Motion. Bailey took 3rd Place 4 Door Mild in his first show. Congratulations Bailey! Armin took 1st Place 4 Door Mild, adding to his trophy collection. The biggest winner was Jeremy, taking Overall Best Subaru. Congratulations Armin and Jeremy! Project One represented well at Import Motion, showing 7 P1 cars and 1 Mospeed car. Look for this to continue through the rest of the season.
There's a bit of a lull in the season -- no shows that we're aware of until Driven to Perform at the end of June. Look for us to be in full force in Canada. Other notes of interest: Formula D and Battle of the Imports changed their dates, and Hot Import Nights announced theirs. Check out the calendar on the right for dates and web links.
Project One would like to extend its holiday wishes to everyone! Hope you all had a safe and enjoyable holiday and are looking forward to 2007. We would also like to welcome Bailey Woods to the team. Bailey brings his white and teal 2006 STI to the team and will be showing with us in 2007 and beyond!
With 2007 beginning, that also means a new show season is coming up. While not all shows have announced dates yet, so far we have Driven to Perform on June 23rd, 2007 at B.C. Place Stadium in Vancouver, and Jeremy (possibly others) will be making the trek down to San Mateo, CA for Hot Import Nights on March 10th. Stay tuned to the calendar on the right for more show dates as they become available.
Project One would like to welcome Jeremy Potter to the team! Jeremy drives a Subaru 2.5 RS-T and most recently took Best of Show at SubieFest 2006. Please look for Jeremy to be showing with Project One in 2007!
Added Tex's profile.
Okay, so the site is now live. It renders great in Firefox. It renders so-so in Internet Explorer. We will continue to work on the rendering piece, but it may just be stuck looking good in Firefox and average in Internet Explorer. Don't blame us, blame "internet standardization". Enjoy the new site, check back often for updates (as there are a few areas "Under Construction").
Added Russell, Joe and Ron's profiles.
Finally revamped the website. Project One v3.0 is coming along. Profiles are being added regularly, so check back. For those of you who remember the old site, we shouldn't have anymore 9 month delays between updates.
